Erin Auerbach joined The Bruman Group, PLLC as Of Counsel in September 2017. Her practice focuses on matters arising under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Prior to joining the firm as Of Counsel, Ms. Auerbach served as an Associate at The Bruman Group, where she advised and represented state and local educational agencies and postsecondary institutions on a range of federal education law matters. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Auerbach serves as an adjunct law professor at American University, Washington College of Law, where she teaches legal research and writing. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Carol Ann Dalton of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. During law school, Ms. Auerbach worked in the Civil Legal Services Division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, where she advocated for juvenile clients in matters arising under the IDEA. She also served in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives, assisting with matters involving the institutional interests of the House.

Ms. Auerbach received her B.A. in American Studies from the University of Maryland in 2004 and her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2009.
