Presented by Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC & Invited Speakers

Agenda (Click here)

Whether you are on the 50 yard line or 10 yard line in terms of obligating your stimulus funds, the auditors and program monitors will be there shortly to determine compliance. And what about managing all your other federal grant dollars from the U.S. Education Department, Department of Labor, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Health and Human Services? Do you have questions? We have your answers at our Fall Forum, live in Clark County, NV!

The U.S. Education Department announced its intention to revise EDGAR within the next few months, so we will be offering two concurrent Pre-Game Sessions on:

  • How the Pass-Through should create a risk based monitoring system with an emphasis on best practices for imposing conditions on subgrantees and;

  • How to use the cross-cutting provisions of the OMB Compliance Supplement to ensure compliance with EDGAR and the Uniform Grant Guidance

Several officials from the U.S. Education Department have been invited to present on current policies, including Chris Soto, Senior Advisor to the Secretary, Mark Robinson, Director of Risk Management Services, Keith Cummins, Edd Cole and Kori Smith (invited) from OIG, and Adam Flynn-Tolbert from OCTAE. You will hear from a panel of college, LEA and State representatives on innovative strategies for student success, and you will learn from Brustein & Manasevit’s own experts on key topics such as time and effort certification compliance, timely spending, internal controls, audit resolution, as well as emerging programmatic concerns under ESSER, HEERF, GEER, ESEA, IDEA, Perkins and WIOA. We will quarterback you to the goal line on legislative and fiscal concerns of the next Congress, as well as the Biden Administration initiatives on Title IX and Charter Schools.

Don’t let the federal agencies call fouls on your federal programs – we’ll help you tackle all potential issues and bring home the win!
